SokK Well, it came as a shock that I didn't remember any theme from Mortal Kombat, despite playing it a lot as a kid. Street Fighter 2 had much more memorable songs for example. Still, it's no big deal as I can discover them again with amazing covers thanks to 30th Floor Records. Favorite track: 'Opening Theme' (MK).

SteveSynth Retro gaming tracks to live for. This album is a must-have if you like retro games and synth music! Favorite track: 'Living Forest' (MK2).

RoMaN S A long-time MK fan, so this album is just jaw dropping. Reminds Me of the time when I used to play MK/MK2 on My PC or MK3 on SNES. Excellent work! Favorite track: 'Goro's Lair' (MK).

Myayu This album is a dream come true for any Mortal Kombat fan. So many amazing remixes. Would love to play a version of the MK games with this soundtrack swapped in. Favorite track: 'Cloud Room' (MK2).

about

You win: flawless synthory!

Console Crusaders are back once again - this time to kick your ass back to the early 90s to join them on a nostalgia trip to some of the most badass video games ever to be unleashed on our teenage minds! This is, Synthality!

Following on from the huge success of their 'Synths of Rage' (bit.ly/1d4NyKm), and 'Synth Fighters' (bit.ly/1fYX57m) albums, the collective have now focussed their talents on recreating the unforgettable music from the original Mortal Kombat trilogy. Originally composed and produced by Dan Forden, the music was unlike anything we'd heard in a video game up to that time. Darker than what our 8-bit and 16-bit video gaming sensory palettes were used to, the sounds took us deep into a foreboding world of certain doom, as we prepared to do battle with some of the toughest fighters we'd ever been face to face with.

Featuring 22 tracks by a collective of incredible electronic producers, we present each track in the order of stages as they appeared throughout each game. As with all Console Crusaders works, these are not simply cover versions, these are full blown reinterpretations according to each artist's unique sound and vision.

Go ahead, test your might!!

Console Crusaders and 30th Floor Records would like to wish you all a Happy Halloween!

The kickass artwork is by Karl O'Janpa aka Variar. We hope to have shirts available soon!

All tracks mixed and mastered by the respective artists, except track 5 mixed and mastered by Martyn Stonehouse, and track 9 mastered by Jeppe Hasseriis.

Please note: we do not own the copyright to any of the tracks reinterpreted here. All music originally composed by Dan Forden for Midway Entertainment.
